So, what would it take to get up the first time the alarm clock goes off?  Is getting up right away the best thing to do when the alarm clock goes off?  Is it better to hit the snooze once before waking up to the alarm clock and actually getting out of bed?  These are all questions I have asked myself. 

I can see how some believe it is good to get up right when the alarm clock goes off? Going back to bed when the alarm clock goes off the first time leaves risk for accidentally turning the alarm clock off.  I can also see why others feel it is better to hit the snooze on the alarm clock once as well, giving the person the chance to "gradually" wake up.  Some people (including myself), not always but at times, hit the snooze on their alarm clock 4 or 5 times in the morning before actually opening their eyes and getting some clothes on.  This leaves huge risk for accidentally turning the alarm clock off or just being late for work. 

Others however, will hear the alarm clock, stand up, turn off the alarm clock and go about their normal morning routine.

With time (getting older) and knowledge, I am finding some mornings are easier to wake up to an alarm clock than other mornings. Why is that? Did I go to bed earlier the night before?  Did I eat something different before I went to bed?  Did I drink more water last night? so when I do hear the alarm clock, I have to go to the bathroom so bad I have to get up.

There is one thing I am realizing about waking up to an alarm clock in the morning.  When I hit the snooze on my alarm clock in the morning and go back to sleep,  I usually am not interested in what the next day has in store.  When I don't want to wake up when that alarm clock goes off, it is usually because I have to go to work that morning.  When the alarm clock goes off on a weekend morning and I have plans to go do something with my daughter,  I have no problem waking up to the alarm clock.  I don't even have a problem waking up to an alarm clock on a work day when its payday or Friday!! 

In conclusion,  the reality is, we all need an alarm clock. Somedays are easier than others waking up to an alarm clock.  The best thing to do to ensure waking up to an alarm clock is "easy", a person needs something to look forward to everyday giving them a reason to wake up when that annoying alarm clock goes off.

His self education in film and film history began in 1962 when he also commenced filmmaking, initially working in 8mm on Bell & Howell and Canon cameras. In 1967 he switched to 16mm and a Bolex camera which he used ever since.
Winkler approach to filmmaking is primarily an organic one. His films are a synthesis of the intellect and emotion all filtered through the plastic material of film, balancing delicately between form and content. try to let imagines flow freely to the surface (Winkler).
These magines often depict iconic aspects of Australia like Bondi Beach, Ayers Rock/Uluru and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Sometimes they take a look at her textures as in Bark/Rind, Green Canopy, and the Bush. As early as 1973 Winkler sided with the Aboriginal Land Right Claims in Dark, conceived at a time of particular spirituality in his work as in Chants and Red Church. In 1995, the Museum of Contemporary Art and Sydney Intermedia Network honoured Winkler with a retrospective screening of a total of 30 of his films. The following year, Harvard Film Archive at the Carpenter Centre for the Visual Arts, Harvard University Cambridge, Boston USA screened 30 films in a three-day retrospective.
The Museum of Modern Art in New York holds 15 of his films in their collection. Prints are also available from Canadian Filmmakers Distribution Centre in Toronto , Canada, the New York Filmmakers Coop, Light Cone in Paris, Red Avocado Films in Germany, the National Film+Sound Archive in Canberra, Australia and other outlets the world over.
His first DVD entitled Australian Icons contains Ayers Rock, Bondi, Rotation, Sydney Harbour Bridge and Time out for Sport along with a portrait documentary entitled ? Paul Winkler.

Sound can create a sense of well-being, it can re-energize you, and can help you sleep if you suffer from insomnia. Sound therapy can create positive reactions, which in turn influences the rest of the body.

How Sound Therapy Works

During sound therapy, the sound is kept at a low volume at a continuous rate. Perhaps you've chosen the sound of a waterfall or ocean waves. Headphones may help exclude outside noises.

Sound therapists suggest that adults listen to sound therapy at least three hours each day. Children can see results listening for 30 to 60 minutes per day. With some forms of sound therapy, you can listen while you do other things.

Somewhere within a few days to a few months, you'll begin to see results from this practice. When your program is complete, keep it handy in case your stress returns.

For example, if you are a person with a stressful job, it may be suggested to use sound therapy for at least an hour every day after getting home from work.

You can develop your own sound therapy at home, or you can get more formalized treatment from a trained therapist familiar with sound therapy.

Formal sound therapy uses sound to balance your system. The sound affects the frequency of your body and gets it back into balance. Think of tuning a guitar... when out of tune, they sound unpleasant... when properly tuned, they can make beautiful music.
